The Somali Historical Society is a nonprofit organization dedicated to preserving and protecting Somalia’s historical record. Decades of conflict, displacement, and neglect have placed Somali history at risk of being lost or erased. By collecting and digitizing archives, oral histories, photographs, and film, we ensure that Somalia’s past is preserved, accessible, and passed on to future generations.
